Les perspectives d’emploi inquiètent les résidents, révèle un sondage

“Le sondage effectué par l’Association canadienne des médecins résidents (ACMR) auprès de 2 305 membres a révélé que plus du quart des répondants (26 %) étaient « assez incertains » ou « incertains » quant à leurs perspectives d’emploi à la fin de leur formation. Parmi les résidents en chirurgie, seulement 14 % étaient certains de leurs perspectives d’emploi alors que 25 % se disaient incertains.”

The presentation examined the trends in the number of work hours of Canadian Family Physicians by comparing the NPS data from 2004, 2007 and 2010. It also compared the workload distributions for family physicians working in different settings, and receiving remuneration through different methods of payment for services.

The poster used the provincial-level data from the 2010 National Physician Survey to compare rates of usage of electronic health records among family physicians in Canada from 2004 to 2010. The NPS findings were then aligned with information on provincial incentive programs intended to encourage physician use of electronic records.
